Sell goods/ products online!

Friday 6 June 2008 by Joanne

Well this one's pretty trivial. You're probably thinking "We already know about Amazon and Ebay and all those other online carboot sale- type websites".

But, have you ever thought about making your own original products and making your own online store to sell them in?

Cafepress allows you to do just that! All you have to do is set up your own store, make your products (anything from t-shirt printing to mugs) and then sell them within it! People are also willing to pay very reasonable prices for the right type of product.

Sorry about the lack of updates but i'm back now! :)

by Joanne

I know it's been a while and i haven't updated in some time, but i've been having a lot of difficulty getting access to my computer recently, as well as having a large work load else where, holidays, family, the list goes on...

But i've finally got the motivation to get the blog up and running again and i'm back with some more money making schemes up my sleeves!

I'm going to be revamping the site soon, too; some more link exchanges would be a good idea for traffic, aswell as a new layout, maybe? Feel free to comment and tell me what you think ;)

I'd also love for you guys to send me any tricks and tips you have about making money online or any websites or schemes that you could suggest.

Thankyou,
Joanne.

Set up blogs and sell them for a profit!

by Joanne

So, the name of this game is pretty self explanatory; you set up a few blogs, get them up and running properly, fill them with content and traffic and then sell them on.

I know a few people actually- including myself- who have decided to go along with this method.

I set up We Are Style some time ago. I got the Google PageRank up to 5, submitted to a few blog directories and link exchange programs, posted a few times (i only had the site for approx. 6 months) and then sold it for $100!

Ok, so $100 may not sound like that much, but We Are Style was actually my very first ever blog, so i was 100% unexperienced and to be honest, i didn't really work that hard on it anyway- i only posted 2-3 times a week whereas most successful blogs post near enough every day and i used a default layout, too- i just added my own banner design!

And can you imagine owning and posting on, let's say 10 different blogs- or maybe more at one time?! It only takes a couple of days to set up one blog and start posting on it and if you work hard enough you could be selling off your blogs for top dollar!!

Firstly, all you need to do is read this OEE blog post that i made recently. That tutorial will teach you how to set up a blog (or a few is you wish).

The next thing you need to do is add some content. Depending on the niche you decide to write about within your blog, you can search Google and find a whole load of articles that you could simply rewrite! Or you could start from scratch using the research you find on Google to make high quality, original articles that your visitors would probably be more willing to take a look at. If you want you blog to grown fast, i would suggest blogging every day- every other day. That way your rep will grow quicker as people will be more inclined to visit if you have lots of regularly updated content.

Now you need to find yourself some traffic. When i set up We Are Style, i didn't have much experience with gaining traffic to a website, so i searched Google to find out how. I found lists of blog directories that will add your link to their website in exchange for a recipricating link on your page. I submitted to quite a few of these and was gaining some pretty good traffic. You can also establish link exchanges with other websites (i would say go for the ones with the highest traffic, pr and lowest best Alexa ranks and you're more likely to get diverted traffic fro their sites). You can take a look at Digital Point for link exchanges.

After adding quality content to your blogs and getting lots of traffic and backlinks you should check your Alexa Rank and Google Page Rank regularly (the lower the Alexa, the better and the higher the Google PR, the better. I would say don't sell your blog until you have a PR of atleast 3).

Make cash from glitter graphics!

Saturday 26 April 2008 by Joanne

Have you ever seen these things before?:
WTF

heycutie

Chances are- you have. There's millions of these around the internet and everyone seems to be using them on their social networking sites, especially myspace.

Glitter graphics were simply designed to put on your page to make it look pretty and the animated sparkling glitter just makes them more appealing.

"What's that got to do with me?" i hear you asking. Well, there's a few ways you could make money from these babies;

1. Make some and sell them to MSRS's
An MSRS is a Myspace Resource Site and they pay top dollar to people who can design and sell them these to put on their websites as content.

If you make them yourself, you're more likely to get more cash for them as well as more buyers if they are new and unseen. Most glitter sellers will make sales on the same 100 glitters for years but there values drop, because that means that the same glitters have been brought by loads of different people to put on loads of different websites.

There's a great tutorial here on making high quality glitters.

Well, what's the difference in high quality and low quality?

Here's an example of a high quality glitter graphic:
Photobucket

Here's an example of a low quality glitter graphic:
purple glitter "cute!" comment

As you can see, the high quality graphic is bright and colorful with a nice clipart image and contains a few effects, including 3D which makes it look really appealing! Whereas the second is really simple, cheap looking glitter and color and there's not much to it at all. Which one would you rather buy or put on your Myspace page?

So, how much should you charge for glitters?
If you're designing really good, high quality glitters like the ones above, you can get anything between 10-50 cents each for them- it really depends on where you're selling and how many are in a pack. Buyers expect discounts on packs with lots of glitters. I'd suggest making a pack of 50 and then selling them here for around $20.

Or

Make customs for 50 cents each.

Where can you sell your glitters?
Kawaiiville
Digital Point
Myspace Pros

A few tips whilst making and selling glitters:
. If your glitters look like the second, low quality design- you're doing something wrong. Follow the tutorial above to make HQ glitters. It will take some time and practise but eventually you'll get the hang of it.
. Never sell individual glitters- they must be sold in a pack of 10+ depending on where you're selling them. Websites like Digital Point expect large packs in hundreds.
. Only ever sell your packs of glitters to a max. of 10-15 people to keep their value.
. Offer tagging (adding the websites name in a pixelfont) for extra cash if you have the time.
. Try and make your glitters look as unique as possible- never just copy someone elses technique. Try and develop your own look and then buyers will be more interested.
. Choose matching colors that don't clash or look tacky.
. Visit good quotes to make your glitters into. Try and use quotes that noone has used before. But always use popular ones such as 'Nice profile!', 'Happy Birthday', 'Thanks for adding me!', etc...
. Make glitters according to the time of year, eg, if it's Halloween, make a huge pack of Halloween glitters and you'll get lots of sales!

2. Buy and Sell Glitters
You don't just have to make the glitters yourself, though. Even though making glitters yourself and then selling them can make you alot of money- buying and selling can too, just not as much.

I suggest visiting the websites i mentioned above to buy glitter graphics with resell rights (make sure you have rights to resell or you could get into alot of trouble selling without permission to) and then selling them on for profit.

3. Make an MSRS website
If you know how to make high quality websites, then this will definitely be a good idea for you to give a go.

Hundreds of Myspace users are always searching to find cool glitter graphics from Myspace Resource Websites. By making one and promoting your site well, you can get floods of traffic to your site to use your glitters. From that, you can create revenue through allowing others to advertise on your website, Adsense, reviewing other MSRS websites, etc...

Make money by writing and selling articles!

Friday 25 April 2008 by Joanne

If you have a particular strong point of knowledge, for example, fashion, making money online, technology, Photoshop, etc, and you know how to write well- why not write articles about the things you know about?

You can sell a 500 word, well written, high quality article for $5 (1 cent per word) to more than one person. I would say don't sell the same article to more than 5 people maximum- but still you could earn yourself $25 from just 1 well written article.

In my own case, i usually charge 2 cents for a custom article when requested and as long as your writing is interesting and gramatically correct- people will by them!

You can advertising your services on Digital Point and also apply to write for people that state that they need writers.

Make your own blog and earn regular income!

by Joanne

Along my quest to try and find new and better, more efficient ways to make cash online- i came across blogging. So, yes, making this blog kind of was a way for me to attempt to make some income whilst at the same time teaching you guys how to make money via. the internet. Ironic really.

And so far i have come accross a few great ways in which a blog like this one will allow you to generate regular income.

First of all, all you need to make a blog is the incentive to talk about- and give your opinion on- something that you like and are interested in, eg: making money online (hence this website). You also need to have the incentive to do this often. If you don't blog regularly enough then your audience won't be interested in what other information you have to offer them and they may get bored of waiting for updates. As well as that, a blog with a lack of updates is less likely to get backlinks and interest from advertisers, for example, which are primarily the source for most income on the average blog.

Anyway, even if you're not interested in the subject you're blogging about (and you just think that that particular niche will prove popular, for example)- as long as you do your research and know that the information your are producing on your blog is factual, then that's cool too.

There are a few excellent blogging websites out there that allow you to do some really neat stuff with your page other than blog that make it easier for your visitors to access your page, to make it look more pysically appealing and also to add extras to keep your viewers busy if they don't just wish to read about your subject.

Up until i made this blog, my favourite blogging tool was definitely Wordpress as it's simple interface makes it easy to use and track your visitors and comments, etc. They also have alot of other cool tools that i would have used apart from the fact that some things cost a hell of a lot of money (if you're starting out on your very first blog then i wouldn't recommend spending lots of cash at first. You need to get an idea of how much revenue you're going to generate before that). Another advantage of Wordpress is that you can set up your own website/ domain and install the Wordpress program onto that.

Right now though, i'm really feeling my host here at Blogger. It's easy to use and has some great tools, of which, may i add, are ALL FREE!

Soulcast is also a handy bloggin tool to check out!

Now on to the money making aspect of the blog;

Most advertisers won't use your website until you have pr (which sometimes can take anything from a couple of weeks to months depending on how hard you're working on your website).

But until then you can add a paid to advertise program to your blog. These are basically programs that you sign up to in which you display advertisements on your pages(text links or banners) and get paid every time a visitor clicks on it.

Some of these include Adsense (most recommended) and Text Link Ads.

You can also sell ads on your websites via Digital Point.

Another way of generating revenue is bloggin about someones website or products (as stated in one of my earlier posts). PayPerPost will allow you to join their scheme and will pay you everytime you write a good review on one of their advertisers.

Earn $10 - $120 Paypal for 15-30 Minutes of Work!

by Joanne

Most money making forums have usually got a 'Freebie' section within their Marketplace or Buy/Sell/Trade section and it's probably worth checking out some of the posts on there.

I was on Digital Point a few days ago when i came across this post:

All you have to do is go to: http://cash.freeforallmankind.com/?referral=747 and fill out any offer(s) you want that equals to 1 credit. Remember you must have paypal. If you do not have paypal, sign-up at http://www.paypal.com and then go to the above mentioned link. After you have completed the process the link will have turned “Green” for me and I will pay you $10 paypal. (**I advise you to do Life-Lock on Page 2 of the Offers. It is free, it is safe and it credits within 30 minutes. That means I can pay you almost instantly. Plus if you use Life-Lock I will pay you a bonus!!**) IF you want to earn $60 refer 5 friends to my thread who sign-up as you did and go green. You can also earn $120 for referring 10 people to me who likewise go green. (Best of all you can repeat this process on your own after you go green the first time.)

There are a few things you must do to ensure that you go “Green” instead of going red and being put on hold. Before you input http://cash.freeforallmankind.com/?referral=747:

1. Clear your cookies, history & empty your Internet browsers’
cache. (These functions are usually under the Options Menu)
2. After opening the link above Sign-Up with VALID information.
(Any Invalid information will cause you to be put on hold.
3. Complete any offers that equal to 1 credit.
(Complete offers that you really want. Signing-up just to cancel is fraud and you will go red. -You ARE Allowed To Cancel Offers That You Truly Do Not Want)
4. After you complete an offer, leave the confirmation page up
for 5 minutes. Close it and complete another offer if necessary
to gain your full 1 credit.
• I realize that this may sound tedious but the whole process should is a lot faster than it sounds. It only take between 10-25 minutes max and it is very easy once you start. Please remember to read ALL Terms & Conditions & Cancellation information and if possible print them off. Also, if you have any further questions please do not hesitate to pm me. Thank you and I wish you the best of luck.

Forum Posting

Wednesday 26 March 2008 by Joanne

Now you beginners have passed stage one (see last post), it's time to start earning!;

A forum- or message board as they are also quite commonly known- is basically like a bulletin board or a non-live chat room. They are usually based on a certain topic, such as a celebrity and then people post messages (threads) which are then replied to, creating a topical conversation.

Chances are, that as an internet user, you've probably posted on a forum before, whether it be for help or assistance with something or just to chat about your favourite celebs.

The easiest way of making money on the web has to be posting on forums/ message boards. You don't need any experience at all- just the motivation to post messages about things that interest you.

Most forums pay $0.10 (10 cents or around 5 pence) per valid forum post, sometimes more. I'd say it takes around 1-2 minutes to write a decent post providing you're quite quick at typing. That means that you could make up to $6 per hour (which, might i add is pretty good to say you're just sitting on your computer chatting about your favourite subjects)!

www.forums.digitalpoint.com is a good place to start if you're interested in forum posting. They have LOADS of forum posting jobs available everyday.

The basics to earning money online for beginners

Wednesday 19 March 2008 by Joanne

There are many, many different ways of earning cash over the internet.

Some of these methods are damn right hard if you don't know anything about Search Engine Optimization, graphic design, data entry- i could go on... but we'll deal with the tricky bits later, once you've mastered a few simple strategies that require no past experience or even intelligence, if i'm quite honest, haha!

But first, you'll have to do a few things before you can even think about making cash online:
1. Get an email address. I know it sounds pretty trivial to have an email address if you're using the internet- your internet service package should have came with one but some people seem to think that email addresses are just used to send messages to one another. And that's true- but not entirely.

Aswell as just sending electronic mail to one another, they are required to sign up to the websites which could potentially earn you your money, aswell as allow you to transfer it.

If you don't have an email address already, try Yahoo, Google Mail or Hotmail which are all popular, dependable email hosts that are 100% free!

2. If you're gonna get paid, you're gonna need some way of collecting the money, right? In that case, you'll need to sign up to a online money transferring company. We suggest using Paypal as it's the most commonly used, aswell as the safest means of money transfer on the net! It also allows you to transfer your the cash you make online to your bank account allowing you to spend it in the stores!

And that's it really. Everything else you will learn along the way. So check back soon to learn about my first, most simplest money making method.
